Has The SCUBA Diving Industry Slowed Our Rate of Descent?

Drowing?Interesting points from this study:

  • October 2011 numbers are even with October 2010 numbers
  • Units sold decreased by 6% while average retail selling price rose 6%
Does this mean retailers are charging more for the same products?
  • Year-to-date merchandise sales are up 4%
So will I see fewer “The dive industry is almost dead, what can you do to help my business we do to stop it?!” posts everywhere?
