Has Grassroots Marketing Returned for SCUBA?

Hulu, the popular online TV and movie watching site, recently brought Sea Hunt back to life with 28 episodes from the first season. Sea Hunt originally aired for 4 whole seasons, so there is more adventure to be had.

For many people, this was one of their inspirations to get into the sport of SCUBA diving. More recently, Seaquest DSV helped to foster that spirit. However, we haven’t seen any type of underwater television series since 1996, almost 15 years.

Hulu has gained widespread adoption and popularity, so do you think the return of Sea Hunt – even with its sometimes-cheesiness – may help to encourage younger, more tech savvy individuals to get into the sport of SCUBA diving?

Are you a Sea Hunt fan or is the series new to you?
