Dive for a Cure 2009

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. If you know someone who has battled breast cancer or not, the numbers are startling: one in eight women (and one in a thousand men) will be diagnosed with breast cancer and of those, 23% will not survive.

I am proud to say that several incredible women I know ran Dive for a Cure last year and are about to host the 2009 Dive for a Cure event on October 10th in Florence, OR. If you’re like me and can’t attend, there are still ways to get involved with the 2009 Dive for a Cure event.

Dive for a Cure has a great Facebook community as well, complete with event updates, photos and videos from last year.

This is a great cause, a wonderful group of people and something we all need to be aware of.

Seriously, I mean it, stop whining. You want to know how to increase your SCUBA business but you don’t want to do anything to increase your SCUBA business. That’s doesn’t make any sense. I’m just kidding, SCUBA diving doesn’t suck. I believe something can be learned from every dive we make, it’s our responsibility to…
