Setting Realistic Expectations

I have always been a firm believer in setting realistic expectations. I want you to have realistic expectations for this site.

Why I’m Doing This

I’m doing this because I love SCUBA. I love SCUBA diving. I also know that to build the SCUBA diving industry, there need to be local dive centers and resorts to draw people in and train them to SCUBA dive. So my goal here is to teach you how to market your local SCUBA diving -related business, be it SCUBA gear or a PADI IDC or just building your SCUBA diving customer base, using online tools. I honestly believe that you can find new SCUBA divers and better retain the ones you have through effective online marketing via SCUBA blogs and social networking.

Not What I’m Here For

I’m not here to teach you how to do internet marketing for the dive industry. I will not teach you how to setup a web site that will bring in thousands of dollars in ad revenue. I will not teach you how to build an email list that you can sell to the highest bidder. I will teach you how to use internet marketing to draw in customers, which may bring you thousands of dollars in retail revenue.  I will teach you how to setup and manage an email list to keep in touch with your customers. I am here to teach you how to bring business into your traditional SCUBA business using internet marketing.

I hope we can all admit that marketing to existing SCUBA diving individuals is low hanging fruit.
